Sad Day

Last week I went out to do chores and found that Socks our calf had died. I have no idea what happened to him. I thought that he was out of the die at the blink of an eye stage since he weighed close to 200 pounds or even more. I guess you just can't be sure with Holsteins! Morgan and Dana were crushed. They couldn't understand why it had to be him. Finally they decided that Heavenly Father must have needed a calf that he could lead around. Dana (looking at the bright side of things) said that at least now we don't have to sell him. I felt really bad for them. One of the bad things about living on a ranch is when animals just don't make it.
