Tis the season to can!!

A family in Austin went to Idaho to get some peaches and pears for everyone. I ordered a box of each. I love getting fresh fruit, but it can get to be a bit of work. We were able to pick them up on Sunday and found that the pears could not wait much longer. I spent Monday doing a little of everything. The kids and I made bread, Morgan's birthday cake, 2 batches of pear jam, 2 pear pies, and bottled the remaining pears. It was a long day, but we accomplished a lot!!
